Hello all,
I hope everyone had a nice holiday break and is ready (or thinking about
getting ready) for '06 season. Here are a few events I'm aware of to
start things off. The soup bowl 2/5, I rode the course in both
directions this weekend and it is in pretty good shape, although all the
leaves are making it slick.
There are a few of us going to little river park to preview the course
this Saturday if anyone is interested. The 5k and 9 mile trail race is
1/14.

Feb. 4	winter challenge kayak/trail run/mtb.
bike
March 4 Hunting island Biathlon kayak/trail run
April 8	Santee park kayak/trail run/mtb. Bike

Info for all 3 at www.winterchallenge.com

Kayak races
March 15 Georgetown,SC
June 10	Pireway,NC

Info at www.winyahriver.org

I've done some of these if anyone wants more info. These are some
supplemental dates along with those on Bushwack.
If there are any kayak paddlers out there, we are still paddling on a
regular basis if interested.

Jeff

The rogaine format seems to let people choose how much time they want to
spend on the course. The hard-core people can go for the full time,
while
others can just spend a few hours at it. Since it's just training,
there's
no real commitment to complete any minimum amount of time or CP's.

Thanks for the heads up on the SoupBowl:

I'll add it to the list of events I'm building at:
http://www.childrey.com/bushwhackadv/events.html

Looks like more info on the Soupbowl will be coming out after the
holidays. If anyone is planning to head over there to preride, throw a
note on this list and let others know.

Thanks,

Don
