Charlie,

We would love to do this training race. Second or third weekend in Sept works best for our sked. We have three to four intermediate level racers (two are decent with nav) who can team up with others as need be.

2006!

Due to popular demand (at least a couple of people have asked) I will
once again create the Pisgah training race this year.

I don't have a date yet, but it will likely be later in the year,
possibly around Sept. and scheduled to avoid other events like the 9-1-1
race. This one will hopefully have something to offer for both novice
and experienced racers.

The location: Asheville & Brevard, NC area
Date: TBA, fall 2006
Events: trekking, mtn bike, and nav
Length: 6 OR 12hrs (tentative)
Cost: free
Support crew: optional
Insurance provided: No
Medical/rescue assistance provided: No
Ugly t-shirt and vendor brochures handed out: No
Cool underground race course with flagged CPs: Yes
A good dose of Pain mixed with Fun: definitely

Stayed tuned for updates...and let me know if you have any requests:
beginner/intermediate nav clinic, course length, difficulty, starting
times, etc.

Charlie
